People Losing their jobs and starting an online business

Hello Everyone!
Another miserable day out side, but hey, it’s warm in the office.
We hear so much on the news and in the press every day about people being made redundant and companies closing down, this of course being the worst time of year, just a few weeks away from Christmas.
So what are people doing to make ends meet?
Apart from their every day jobs many people have another little “side line” maybe its making things and selling them on ebay or buying stuff from jumble sales, fixing it and selling it online, or maybe they have a really good idea for a web based business but dont know where to start.
What ever it is many more people are turning to the Internet, or their “second job” and making it in to their main source of income and having the job that they always wanted.. working for themselves and working from home or a little office just around the corner.
Experts say that there are around 1 Billion computers online in 2009 and by 2014 this is estimated to double to 2 Billion! With this in mind maybe looking to the internet and having your own business is not such a bad idea.
